GRATITUDE

GRATITUDE

My therapist requested that I maintain a gratitude journal and write in there daily. She said it doesn't have to be anything major, a daily log could be as simple as -I am so grateful for these clean dishes today and the time I had to put towards making that happen or I am grateful that my makeup looks amazing today and I feel great. Frequently practicing gratitude journaling is a powerful tool for a mindset shift-it literally programs our brains to start focusing on the small positive things in life and ignore the not-so-positive. As we approach the holiday season, there are so many people and situations to be thankful for but that can be very hard to see if you are a single parent Especially if it is the first Christmas that you and your pattern are apart or if you had very unique holiday family traditions. Practice gratitude my love-be thankful for the food, friends/family, your kids, a warm home, health, and the future ahead.
